This Busy Mom Loves Her Instant Pot; Here’s Why

There are plenty of reasons for EVERYONE to love the Instant Pot. But moms specifically have a place in there heart for this hard-working kitchen appliance. We’re already used to multitasking mom duties, so we appreciate this multicooker that comes alongside us to help!

What is an Instant Pot?

An Instant Pot is actually the brand name of a multicooker; an all-in-one appliance boasting seven (sometimes more) different features all in one pot! You get a slow cooker, pressure cooker, rice cooker, soup maker, yogurt making machine that can sauté and keep things warm!

When my 6-quart Instant Pot arrived in the mail I was SO excited to get started! I must admit that I was scared to use this new appliance, but I’m happy to say after following all the easy directions, it has been a welcome addition to my kitchen. You just put the ingredients in, twist the top, and forget about it!

Time Saving

The Instant Pot is a total time saver. We all know how quickly the days go by when you’re raising kids, so it’s hard to get everything done in one day. On the days when you find yourself in a hurry, turn on the pressure cooker and have meals done in less than 20 minutes. Maybe you find yourself with an afternoon free and want to try something new? Set the Instant Pot on the slow cooker and have the rest of the day to yourself!

Great Meals

Yes! This multicooker makes some of the best meals you’ve ever tasted! My favorite is roast beef with veggies on a bed of rice. All which I can make in my Instant Pot. You can also make hearty soups during those cold winter evenings. The ones that makes you feel right at home in between all the homework and after school activities.

It also makes the PERFECT rice. Not too mushy and not too hard. My husband is Puerto Rican so he takes his rice very seriously!

Frozen Meat

This might be my favorite feature! I don’t know how many times I’ve had to pick up food or order out because I forgot to defrost the meat. Chicken, beef, fish, you name it all can go into the Instant Pot frozen!

Most of the time you will need to add an extra 10 minutes or so to your time but it’s definitely worth it for a home cooked meal! My first ever Instant Pot make was a 2.5 lb FROZEN chuck roast! It finished off as the most tender and delicious dinner I’ve ever tasted!
