Celebrate Fall the Right Way with This Apple Harvest Party

I like to think of fall as the gift we get for enduring a long hot summer. There is no denying the magic of ripe apples, changing leaves, and crisp mornings. As the summer slowly slips away and autumn sneaks in, I find myself savoring each and every moment.

This year, we were lucky enough to have an abundance of apples. The month of May was good to us, and throughout the summer we waited for the juicy apples to ripen. “We” being the goats, horses, chickens, and myself.

We have four apple trees in our backyard, they are quite old and in desperate need of a good pruning, but when spring treats them right, they return the favor tenfold in August and September.

To celebrate this year’s harvest, we decided to put together an apple harvest party filled with all things apple and pumpkin spice.

We sipped apple cider cocktails and tore chunks off of French baguettes smeared with Brie and apple slices.

To dress up our cocktails, we used various sized mason jars with string wrapped around them. Apple slices made the perfect garnish, and cute twig inspired stir sticks finished it off!

When planning a party, you don’t have to go over the top, but putting thought into the little details goes a long way! I love using parchment paper and twine as much as possible, they are inexpensive finishing touches that give off an organic and approachable feel!

With hundreds and hundreds of apples in need of use, we stuck to the theme of Apple Harvest and gifted each friend a basket of apples. Adding ribbon and a thoughtful note made each basket extra special! It’s all in the details!
