I love anything that gives me an excuse to celebrate, so Cinco de Mayo is right up my alley and these three tequilla shot recipes are crowd-pleasers!
We love to celebrate by having a bunch of friends over, setting up a fun taco bar, and, of course, mixing up batches of tequila shots. This year, we are taking three of our favorite tequila drinks and making them mini — i.e. tequila shots!
One of my favorite reasons to serve these three tequila drinks at parties is because they are great to make in big batches, so you spend less time in the kitchen and your clean up time is cut in half! No one wants to have a house full of people and be stuck in the kitchen, especially when tequila is involved!
If you love champagne, the Mexican 75 is absolutely for you. It’s a fun little twist on a French 75 in that is uses tequila instead of gin, and is a lovely, light, and refreshing!
For you grapefruit lovers, the Paloma is the way to go. Slightly bitter from the grapefruit but sweet from the simple syrup, this combination is one of my favorite cocktails, so as a shot it’s even better!
What would Cinco de Mayo be without a frozen treat? In lieu of the traditional frozen margarita, we are whipping up her spicy cousin — the mango & chile lime shot. It’s still frozen, absolutely delicious, and has a little kick at the end. To make her even more spicy, throw some jalapeno juice in the blender!
