Dr. Robin Berzin is a wonder woman of wellness. She’s a functional medicine doctor and the Founder and CEO of Parsley Health, a transformational company that’s changing primary healthcare with a combination of functional medicine, comprehensive testing and health coaching that is a true 360 degree approach to wellness.
Robin graduated Summa Cum Laude from University of Pennsylvania, attended Columbia University and trained in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital.
If that’s not impressive enough, her training extends further, as she’s also a certified yoga instructor and a meditation teacher… Plus, she’s a speaker and an educator.
Her class created with Mind Body Green, The Ultimate Stress Management Guide, is a brilliant introduction to a her philosophy and training, and also had me in awe as she’s such a superwoman- an amazing doctor, CEO of a thriving company, teacher, yogi, meditation guide… and all-round lifestyle designer.
When I first met Robin, I couldn’t believe that someone with so much on their plate could be so calm, so fun and so absolutely grounded. And… I was instantly in love with everything about Parsley Health. Having unraveled my own medical mysteries in a hit-or-miss fashion because traditional medicine couldn’t help me fully, Parsley Health is the answer to my greatest dreams for wellness. A membership to Parsley Health includes up to 5 visits a year with a functional medicine doctor to achieve your health goals and, you can also work with health coaches to stay on track. Parsley, in their own words, is a “high-tech modern medical practice taking a groundbreaking approach to primary care by using cutting edge testing and focusing on treating the root cause of illness. Highly trained doctors prescribe both lifestyle changes and medication to help patients become the healthiest versions of themselves.”
Robin wanted to create a more affordable and comprehensive way to bring functional medicine to the world, and she’s created something so valuable, it’s expanding exponentially.
Founded in New York, Parsley Health recently launched their Los Angeles center in September and they are opening in San Francisco this November.
I was so thrilled to hear everything Robin had to share about her habits, home & lifestyle since there must be bionic secrets to hear. There’s most definitely a bionic cherry chocolate shake involved… and since this chat, 10 minutes of meditation has become a part of my every day!

For everyone interested in wellness, what’s the best kitchen purchase you’ve ever made for eating more radiantly?
Japanese chef’s knife. It makes chopping veggies so easy and fun.
The one object in your home that you cherish…
My Cocomat king sized bed and colorful Moroccan rugs. Otherwise everything can go except my husband and the dogs 🙂
The one gadget or app that we all should have…
Any period tracker. If you’re not tracking your cycle, you’re missing an important vital sign.
And a nest thermostat. We love being able to turn the heat on or off from our phones.
The daily habit that’s been game-changing…
Meditation. If I do it for 10 minutes my whole world changes – I can cope with the noise and craziness of NYC, I sleep better, and I’m more focused and productive.
The best lifestyle decision you ever made…
Choosing yoga and meditation over running and spinning. They go so much further in keeping me in shape and energized.
Where do you go/ what do you do to find inspiration?
I look to my teachers. Sometimes I forget that as a doctor, healer and CEO, I need help too. There are individuals I know personally (yoga teachers, business mentors and meditation experts) who have helped me see through problems and grow as a person. There are also philosophers and writers like Eckhart Tolle whom I don’t know personally but who have helped me to think about myself and the world in a different way.
I also go to the sea. Something about the water is magic.
