You Have All the Answers Already: Life Lessons with Olympian Caroline Burckle

Caroline Burckle is a bright light, and when I talk about inspiring people, she is one of the people I reference most often. As a competitive swimmer, she became an Olympic Medalist. As a wellness expert and personal coach, she’s changing lives with the kind of experience that comes from a lifetime of dedication to training and growth in every way.

A year ago, I asked Caroline if she’d talk to a group of my own clients about mental training and I was giddy when she agreed. There are lots of methods to mental training, lots of tricks and games and strategies that I’ve always found off-putting because they seem forced and robotic, and I just knew that her way of training would be unique and full of love.

What she said on this phone call stayed with me and became the truth I grab for every time I have no idea what I’m doing in any given day and I’m searching for someone to tell me the next steps and the right answer:

You have all the answers already.

She told the group (and I’m paraphrasing all of this, passionately!) that her coaches sometimes wouldn’t tell her exactly how to do things but would leave it to her to find her own way. She explained how tough it was at times when looking for a solution to a problem in order to improve. Yet, it was deeply rewarding and empowering to learn to uncover these personal answers.

It’s no mystery that our mind is super-powerful for all of life, including wellness and athletic performance. But, when Caroline ensured us that we all could uncover the path to our personal greatness — something that was within all of us — everyone felt like they were handed a key to unlock magic inside that we never knew we had!

That was only one life-changing moment of a talk full of revelations that led me to believe that Caroline was the only person I would hire to be my own coach, and my wish was to have everyone I know exposed to her luminous, life-expanding awesomeness!

At RISE Elite she’s building a web-based platform where Olympians mentor youth athletes ages 13 and older in a one-on-one relationship. Along with her partner, she’s building a global online hub #theRISElife where athletes and Olympians are a part of one giant community of greatness both in sport and life.

As a Personal Development and Brand Development Coaching (i.e. Strategy Coach) on her own website, she works with entrepreneurs and individuals alike. She explains, “I coach them to live their best lives, to leverage their personal or professional brand to achieve their loftiest goals.”

Yes, yes, yes! I’m so honored and thrilled that Caroline has offered to share with us some of her favorite habits, snacks and home goodies. I’m about to get my foam roller from the closet and start using it at long last… today!
