Festive St. Patrick’s Day Cupcakes

If you’re looking for a sweet treat for the kids (and grown-ups) for St. Patricks Day then you are going to love these festive St. Patrick’s Day cupcakes. With some yummy candy, and fluffy frosting you can transform ordinary cupcakes into big bites of fun like these Rainbow Sprinkle and Pot of Gold Cupcakes.

You can use your favorite cake recipe or cake box mix for the cupcakes. I used a white cake mix, but I’m going to walk you through the decorating part more than anything.

My biggest tip for you is to use a stable buttercream frosting, also known as decorator’s buttercream. This type of frosting is more stable which makes it easier for piping and won’t melt if left out on the counter. Most store-bought frostings will work or you can make your own.
