Freshen Up Your Front Porch With This Spring Decor

The weather is starting to warm up nicely as we transition from winter into spring. The air is fresh, the birds are chirping, and new life is blooming all around, filling me with hope for everything to come. It’s my favorite time of the year to be outdoors and it gives the perfect excuse to create a fresh look for the front door!

Layer Your Doormats

Wash or wipe down your front door and clean off your porch to create a blank slate before you get started. Your front door can make a statement about who you are and gives your home part of its first impression.

One easy way to add character to your porch is by changing out your doormat! I love the look of layering an anchor rug underneath the doormat to add personality and interest to the space through design or patterns.

Add a Splash of Life

Another simple way to freshen up your porch is by adding some greenery. You can bring out some of your indoor plants or go the worry-free route with faux plants. I anchored both sides of the door with faux cypress plants in rattan baskets to transform the look of my front door.

Hang a Wreath

Add a wreath to give the door a splash of life. I chose this neutral Tea Leaf Wreath from 47th & Main because it will look good through summer. Choosing a seasonal wreath is a quick and effortless way to freshen up your front door throughout the different seasons.
