Cast-Iron Brussels Sprouts and Apples

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts (halved)
  • 1 apple (like a Pink Lady or Honeycrisp, diced)
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 small purple onion (diced)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter (small dice)
  • Kosher salt and cracked black pepper (to taste)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat your outdoor grill to high and place the Lodge cast-iron skillet on the heat. In a large bowl, toss Brussels sprouts, diced apple, onion, vinegar, butter, salt and pepper together in a large bowl.
  2. Once the skillet is smoking hot, add the vegetable mixture.
  3. Cook stirring often until Brussels are caramelized, about 10 minutes.
