North Carolina BBQ Sauce
- 3 cups of apple cider vinegar
- 1 cup of packed light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of onion powder
- 1 tablespoon of red pepper flakes
- 1 tablespoon of Kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon of hot sauce
- ½ cup of ketchup
- Add the vinegar and brown sugar to a medium size pot and bring to a boil.
- Add in all of the other ingredients and simmer on low heat for 20 minutes.
- Cool and serve.
