Blood Orange Mascarpone Milkshake

INGREDIENTS
  • 3 scoops good quality vanilla bean ice cream (like Häagen-Dazs) plus one for topping
  • 1.5 oz aged rum (or strained blood orange juice for a non alcoholic version)
  • 3 tbsp mascarpone
  • 1/4 cup roughly chopped blood orange (peel removed)
  • 1 heaping tbsp roughly chopped almonds
DIRECTIONS

(1) Spoon the chopped blood oranges along with their juices into the bottom of a chilled glass.

(2) Blend three scoops of the ice cream, plus the rum and mascarpone, on high just until smooth. Pour into the chilled glass over the blood oranges.

(3) Top with an additional scoop of ice cream and the chopped almonds. Serve with a spoon and a straw.
